2013 Vision

Our 2013 Vision of the year is "L.I.F.T” which stands for "Love-Inspire-Forgive-Thank". At Openwater we are being challenged to humble ourselves in order to be lifted up by God and at the same time ift others up in order to do great things in His name. This is based off of the New Testament statement by James found in James 4:10 that says,

James 4:10

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” (NIV)

Learn to be loved by God and love others better every day.

INSPIRE

Learn to be inspired by God and be an inspiration to others.

FORGIVE

Learn to be forgiven by God and forgive others.

Learn to be thankful to God and thank others.

The Every Year Growth Challenge

Every year there are six spiritual habits necessary to in order to grow in your faith and experience freedom in your life. These habits are “practice for eternity”. You will learn to love God and love others better as you live out these six spiritual habits. Enjoy!

1-Consistently be in the Word of God through a daily quiet time.

In 2013, study the word of God through the filter of "The Four A's to Humility"

Aspire to know God.

Acknowledge your rank (God is first and you are second).

Accept God's control (so obey His word).

Allow God to work in you (L.I.F.T.)

2-Consistently attend weekly corporate worship services.

3-Consistently attend a weekly small group.

4-Consistently service others in and outside the church.

5-Consistently give to God through the church.

6-Consistently memorize the weekly verses.
